Prepping Your Home Before A Major Painting Project
At Somerset Painting, we offer a hassle-free experience for our customers. But this does not mean all the responsibilities fall on us. There are a few things to keep in mind when preparing your home for a major painting project.
Number One: Organizing And Prepping The Work Site
Before our professionals can come in and begin work on your home, it should be noted that the work zone should be cleared of anything you do not want to be painted or ruined. Before we arrive, please make sure to do the following:
- Move any furniture that will be in the way while we are working.
- Make sure all shelves within the work zone are emptied.
- Remove any large items off the floor, such as rugs, shoes, etc.
Clearing these items and more will help our professionals stay safe and keep things moving along smoothly while we work to paint inside your home.
Number Two: Have A Plan For Your Pets
We love animals as much as the next person. Ensuring their safety and ours is one of our main goals when coming into a home with pets. Before our professionals arrive at the worksite, we advise that your pets be removed or put in a secure location while we work to beautify your home.
Number Three: Find a Location For Our Crew to Set Up
We recommend one last tip for our customers (new or old): to determine the best location inside the home for our crew to set up shop. Our team of professionals will need an area to set our tools aside, clean our equipment, and organize ourselves before working.
No need to worry about the aftermath – our professionals will make sure to clean everything up once a painting project is completed.
